Bio
Leticia Velazquez is a Ph.D. student of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences at the Juarez University of the State of Durango, Mexico. She is a Fulbright grantee visiting scholar at the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, University of California, Davis. Leticia received her B.Sc. Chemical Engineering and M.Sc. Environmental Systems at the National Technological Institute of Mexico, where she did a research internship at the University of Costa Rica. She has expertise in environmental resources management and ecological risk assessment of heavy metals in water and agricultural soil pollution. Currently, she is working on sustainable irrigation and water stress, developing skills in GIS and remote sensing.
