Bio

Nuo Xu is a Ph.D. student specializing in remote sensing, data processing and geospatial analysis. She has worked on the Second Tibetan Scientific Expedition and Research. She analyzed the response of lakes recharged by the Asian Water Tower to climate warming based on satellite imagery. Her research project is focused on mapping global surface soil moisture content and irrigated areas. She is also evaluating a UAV-based microwave radiometer for mapping soil moisture at high spatial resolution. Other research interests include assessing the quality of CIMIS weather stations.
