Visiting scholar
Saddam Hussain is a visiting research scholar at the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, University of California, Davis as a Ph.D. candidate. Hussain received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Hons.), Agricultural Engineering degree from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). He pursued his Ph.D. program in Agricultural Engineering at UAF, Pakistan. He is having expertise in water resources management, i.e., HEIS (drip, sprinkler and center pivot irrigation systems). He is having skills in GIS and remote sensing. Currently, he is working on moisture stress and crop health surveillance through satellites and UAV data. Moreover, he is interested in climate change, and precision agriculture to meet the food security challenge.
